Revolution about Sun:
Uranus rotates on its axis at a 99 degree angle, which means the planet rotates on its side. Because of the strange way it spins, the nights on some parts of Uranus can last for more than 40 years.
Like Saturn, Uranus also has rings that orbit around the planet. However, the rings are so faint that they can only be viewed with special equipment.
It is believed that it is made up of rock and ice and has a large rocky core. Because of the tremendous planetary pressure of Uranus, there could possibly be trillions of large diamonds in or on the surface of this planet.
Uranus is an extremely cold planet and is often called the "ice giant."
• CO2 fire extinguisher
• Plastic bowl
• Dish cloth
• Soap bubble mixture
A carbon dioxide fire extinguisher was let off into a pillowcase causing the compressed CO2 to solidify as dry ice.
Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide and when placed in water it sublimates, meaning it turns from a frozen solid into a warmer gas.
The dry ice was placed in a bowl of water and a soapy cloth was run over the lip which caused the sublimating dry ice to blow a gigantic bubble.
